Launch of the 3rn edition of the newsletter produced by the Brazilian Soil Health Partnership
The third issue of the Soil Health News newsletter, titled “Ecosystem Restoration,” is now available. The publication is an initiative of the Brazilian Soil Health Partnership (BSHP) and brings together information that bridges science, agricultural practice, and public policy to promote more sustainable production systems.
This issue features research findings on forest restoration, highlighting its contribution to the recovery of soil health and biodiversity in degraded areas. The newsletter also features an interview with researcher Dr. Pedro Henrique Santin Brancalion, who shares his career journey and discusses the role of forest restoration in building more sustainable production systems. In addition, the newsletter compiles news, awards, and national and international events related to soil health and ecosystem restoration.
This publication is part of the Soil Health News series and reinforces BSHP’s commitment to transforming scientific knowledge into information that is accessible and applicable in the field. By highlighting the relationship between soil health, biodiversity, and agricultural productivity, the newsletter seeks to encourage the adoption of regenerative practices that promote ecosystem resilience and contribute to a more sustainable future.
The newsletter reinforces BSHP’s core mission of demonstrating that soil health serves as a link between biodiversity, agricultural productivity, and sustainability. By highlighting both scientific discoveries and field experiences, Soil Health News aims to inspire actions that promote regenerative agriculture and strengthen the resilience of ecosystems and rural communities. Thus, the newsletter reinforces BSHP’s core mission: to transform knowledge into action to restore, conserve, and enhance Brazilian soils.
