Launch of the 2nd edition of the newsletter produced by the Brazilian Soil Health Partnership

The second issue of the Soil Health News newsletter, titled “Regenerative Practices,” is now available on USP’s Open Books Portal, providing free access to scientific and technical content on soil health and regenerative agriculture. The publication is an initiative of the Brazilian Soil Health Partnership (BSHP) and brings together information that connects science, agricultural practice, and public policy to promote more sustainable production systems.

This issue features the results of research conducted in the Cerrado that highlight the benefits of regenerative practices for soil health, as well as an interview with researcher Dr. Antônio Luis Santi, who shares his career journey and emphasizes the importance of soil georeferencing for more efficient agricultural management. The newsletter also features news, awards, and events related to soil health, promoting the dissemination of knowledge among researchers, students, technicians, and farmers.

The publication is part of the Soil Health News series and reinforces BSHP’s commitment to transforming scientific knowledge into information that is accessible and applicable in the field, encouraging the adoption of regenerative practices that contribute to agricultural productivity, the conservation of natural resources, and the resilience of ecosystems.

The newsletter reinforces BSHP’s core mission of demonstrating that soil health is a link between biodiversity, agricultural productivity, and sustainability. By highlighting both scientific discoveries and field experiences, Soil Health News aims to inspire actions that promote regenerative agriculture and strengthen the resilience of ecosystems and rural communities. Thus, the newsletter reinforces BSHP’s core mission: to transform knowledge into action to restore, conserve, and enhance Brazilian soils.
