Launch of the book Applications in Soil Health: Case Studies and Experiences

It is with great satisfaction that I share the launch of the book Applications in Soil Health: Case Studies and Experiences, a work developed from the research carried out by the Soil Health & Management Research Group (SOHMA) at ESALQ/USP, in collaboration with different research groups and partner institutions across Brazil. In a context where soil health has become one of the main frontiers of contemporary soil science, the book brings together essential discussions on sustainable agriculture, food security, climate change, environmental conservation, and ecosystem restoration.

Throughout its 16 chapters, the book presents case studies and applied experiences from different regions of Brazil, addressing regenerative agriculture, integrated systems, restoration of fragile ecosystems, methodologies for developing soil health indices, and initiatives related to education, outreach, and regulation. We hope this material contributes to the education of Agricultural Sciences professionals and strengthens the dissemination of soil health as a strategic tool for the future of agriculture and environmental conservation in the country.
